AKIPRESS.COM - Citizens of Mongolia who are living abroad will cast their ballots on June 20-23, GoGo reports.

Enkhtselmeg Munkhbat, a representative of voters living abroad, said she was very happy to be the first voter in her polling station.

"I'm 18 years old. I'm voting for the first time. I study at a high school in Osaka. When I got up in the morning and wore my deel, I felt like I was walking in Mongolia. I felt very good when I voted for the first time. I was very happy to be the first voter when I heard the National Anthem in the morning. I want to appeal to my generation to actively participate in the elections," she says.

About 4,000 out of 7,000 citizens living abroad voted in the 2021 presidential election. Currently, there is an unofficial number of about 200,000 Mongolians living abroad.

This parliamentary election will be held in a mixed system, so voters will fill out two ballot papers. Voters living abroad will only fill in the second ballot. This ballot has a list of parties and coalitions registered with the Supreme Court and registered with the GEC.
