
AKIPRESS.COM - Nyamkhand Medegma graduated from the Agricultural University with a degree in animal husbandry on the eve of her 73rd birthday. She lives in Tsagaan-Ovoo district of Dornod province.
The woman graduated from the agricultural college of Dornod province in 1974. She is a veterinarian, who retired in 2013. To help her daughter with her work, she got admitted to the university and graduated with honors. Her daughter is also a veterinarian. Women are engaged in breeding black goats.
"When I studied for 2.5 years, I paid more than 4 million tugriks for tuition. I paid the tuition from my pension. It was not easy for a person who herds cattle in the province to go to university in Ulaanbaatar. I was able to successfully complete my studies because my children were very supportive and paid for my travel expenses," Nyamkhand Medegma says.
