AKIPRESS.COM - There is a sacred place called Chech-Dobo in At-Bashi district of Naryn region. 64-year-old resident of Terek-Suu village Asanbek Begimbaev told about this place.
Since Tengrism era, ancestors of the Kyrgyz used to pray in this place, he said.
"I live right near the Chech-Dobo sanctum. Up until nowadays, people come here. For example, people who cannot conceive a child or people with illnesses come here to solve their problems. Probably, the name of the place comes from that, 'chech' means solve," said Begimbaev.
He noted that there are 7 springs in Chech-Dobo.
"Not only Kyrgyz, but residents of Kazakhstan and China visit this place. There were no mosques long time ago and Kyrgyz people prayed in such sanctums," he noted.
Only two families live near Chech-Dobo, one of them is the family of Begimbaev.
"We graze cattle. My younger brother used to live here," he added.
