Embassy of Mongolia opens in Tashkent

AKIPRESS.COM - The Embassy of Mongolia was opened in Tashkent on June 24 as part of the state visit of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to Uzbekistan, Montsame reports.

The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh, Ambassador of Mongolia to Uzbekistan Batbaatar Daadankhuu, and other officials.

President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa said that the opening of the Embassy shows the importance Mongolia attaches to expanding the relations and cooperation with Uzbekistan.

"I am confident that it will provide stimulus to intensifying cooperation in all sectors, dramatically increasing trade and investment between the two countries, and further strengthening the friendship and people-to-people ties of Mongolia and Uzbekistan," the Mongolian President noted.

The General Consulate of Mongolia operated in Tashkent from 1977 to 1994.
