AKIPRESS.COM - The "Chinggis Khaan: How Mongols Changed the World" Exhibition opened at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum of Mongolia on July 2, Montsame reports.
The exhibition displays over 600 historical artifacts and items, including porcelain fine crafts, crystal mirrors, crystal goblets used during the Yuan Empire, and golden girdles worn by emperors of the Hunnu Empire, which are kept in European museums.
The centerpiece of the exhibition is the letter written by Ulziit Khaan of the Il Khanate to King Phillip IV of France in 1305. The original letter returns to its homeland after 719 years for the first time.
The International Exhibition on Chinggis Khaan was displayed in Nantes, France, last year for 6 months with over 250,000 visitors.
The event will also be held in the Czech Republic, Italy, Germany, Poland and Hungary. Later this year, the exhibition is planned to open in the United States. It will be brought to Switzerland in 2025.
