Mongolia receives 245,800 tourists in half a year

AKIPRESS.COM - 3,071,400 passengers (double counting) crossed the borders of Mongolia in the first half of 2024. This number has increased by 953,700 (45.0%) compared to last year.

1,547,300 passengers entered Mongolia in the first half of this year. 31.8% of them crossed border through the Zamiin-Uud Border Port, 25.8% came through Chinggis Khaan International Airport, 10.3% entered via the Gashuunsukhait Border Port, 10.2% crossed at the Altanbulag Border Port, and 5.5% entered through the Shiveekhuren Border Port. The remaining 16.4% entered through other ports.

The number of tourists amounted to 245,800 people in the first half of this year, which is 18,900 (8.3%) more than last year. The number of tourists from China increased by 21,700 (57.8%), tourists from South Korea by 9,900 (27.5%), tourists from Kazakhstan by 2,000 (26.4%), and tourists from Japan by 500 (7.7%).
