Chinese Armed Forces to take part in joint military exercise in Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - A detachment sent by the PLA Army will participate in the Khaan Quest-2024 multinational peacekeeping exercise in Mongolia in late July, spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense Zhang Xiaogang said at a regular news conference on Thursday.

The detachment will take part in the exercise at the invitation of the Ministry of Defense of Mongolia.

"Khaan Quest 2024" is a regular multinational exercise sponsored by the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and conducted annually by the Mongolian Armed Forces.

The exercise will be held from July 27 to August 9. It is aimed at enhancing the cooperation between participating countries during peacekeeping missions, and will involve about 1,000 military personnel from more than 15 countries.
