AKIPRESS.COM - Chairman of the Parliament of Mongolia Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve received Ambassador of China to Mongolia Shen Minjuan on July 29, Montsame reports.

Ambassador Shen Minjuan forwarded the greetings from the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji. The Ambassador expressed readiness to deepen the fruitful cooperation between Mongolia and China and strengthen the mutual understanding between the peoples of the two neighboring countries.

Speaker Amarbayasgalan noted that the Mongolian Parliament has been formed with 126 members for the first time in history. The Speaker highlighted that Mongolia is striving to strengthen parliamentary democracy further and develop political parties to professional institutions and make legal reforms.

Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve also expressed the commitment to intensifying activities of the permanent cooperation mechanism between the Parliaments of Mongolia and China and consistently holding meetings between the Standing Committees of the two institutions.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mongolia and China, the 30th anniversary of the Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation, and the 10th anniversary of reaching a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
