The 2024 Olympic gold medal, with a podium value of about $950, surpasses the $708 value of the 2012 London Olympics gold medal, according to Forbes. 

Weighing 529 grams, the gold medal contains 6 grams of pure gold plating, 505 grams of silver, and 18 grams of iron. If it were pure gold, it would be worth around $41,161.

The silver medal weighs 525 grams, with a value of approximately $486, and the bronze medal, at 455 grams, is valued at $13.

Notably, the medals include iron from the Eiffel Tower, refined to be nearly pure and robust. The medals were designed by the historic French jeweler Chaumet.
