The sheep breeders said that they are engaged in breeding Arashan breed of sheep. Farmers Zamir Jainakov and Janai Jusupbekov raised a ram named Kainar in their farm. On August 24, the ram was sold for $70,000.
It's slightly older than 2 years. It was bought in Batken region.
The Ministry of Agriculture registered a new Kyrgyz meat-and-wool breed of sheep Arashan in April 2021.
Overall in the republic, there are 5,832 sheep of this breed. The approximate cost of a lamb is $1,000, and the sheep are priced at $5,000.
