AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Communications of Mongolia Baatarkhuu Tsend received U.S. Ambassador Richard L. Buangan on August 30, Montsame reported.
Minister Baatarkhuu noted that the Government of Mongolia is focusing on developing technology parks and the digital economy, promoting Mongolian information technology companies, their products, and services, not only regionally but globally. Minister Baatarkhuu highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to elevating the cooperation between Mongolia and the U.S. in the sector, continuing previous talks.
Furthermore, the Minister expressed eagerness to learn from the best practices of the U.S. in incubating start-up businesses, continue the cooperation with the U.S. in introducing payment systems, sharing experiences, and bolstering human resources in cyber security, support the science and information technology sector with a favorable legal and economic environment, establish a model information technology park and ultimately, to become a hub, connecting Asia.
Ambassador Richard Buangan expressed gratitude to the Mongolian Government for intensifying digital transition in all sectors and expressing the country’s intention to support Mongolia, share experiences, and deepen cooperation, as developing the digital economy and preventing associated cyber security threats are priorities in the Government policies of Mongolia and the U.S.
