AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of Türkiye consisting of Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya and Director of the National Intelligence Organization İbrahim Kalın on September 12, UzA reports.
The parties considered the issues of further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, and development of multifaceted cooperation in the context of the implementation of agreements on the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Türkiye on June 6-7, 2024.
The fruitful results of the joint meeting of ministers and heads of agencies of the two states held on September 12 were highly appreciated. The importance of continuing regular and systematic contacts in accordance with the adopted roadmap, expanding the format and agenda of such negotiations was noted.
The sides also discussed issues of deepening political dialogue, promotion of trade, economic and investment cooperation projects. Particular attention was paid to strengthening interdepartmental coordination and joint activities to counter modern challenges and security threats.
Views were also exchanged on the current aspects of regional interaction and cooperation as part of international organizations.
