AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia's foreign trade turnover reached $18.1 billion in 8 months of 2024, GoGo reports, citing the National Statistics Committee. Mongolia traded with 155 countries during this period.
Exports accounted for $10.6 billion, while imports totaled $7.5 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of $3.1 billion.
The increase in exports by $620 million compared to last year was driven by substantial gains in key commodities: coal exports rose by $372.5 million, copper concentrate by $195.9 million, and unprocessed or semi-processed gold by $159.7 million.
