AKIPRESS.COM - The newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Saidikrom Niyozkhojaev, has arrived in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Dunyo news agency reported.
Before his assignment to Bishkek, Niyozkhojaev had served as Ambassador to Kazakhstan since 2018. In August 2024, the diplomat was awarded the Order of Friendship, 2nd degree ("Dostyk") by the President of Kazakhstan for his significant contributions to strengthening bilateral relations.
Saidikrom Niyozkhojaev is 59 years old. He is a graduate of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute. Before being appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan in 2015, he held various senior positions within the Presidential Administration and government structures, including Deputy State Advisor and Deputy Minister of Economy.
Niyozkhojaev replaces Khurshid Mirzokhidov, who led the diplomatic mission in Bishkek from 2020 to 2024.
