Uzbekistan and India discuss developing pharmaceutical control system

AKIPRESS.COM - A delegation led by Director of the Center for Pharmaceutical Safety Alisher Temirov met with officials of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization of India, UzA reported.

The parties discussed issues of developing a pharmaceutical control system, reducing product side effects, and preventing potential risks. The importance of strengthening international cooperation was noted.

Alisher Temirov emphasized the need to develop effective mechanisms to prevent the entry of low-quality and counterfeit drugs into Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical market, establish specific measures, and closely cooperate in verifying the authenticity of regulatory documents.

The Indian side expressed its readiness to improve internal control mechanisms and strengthen cooperation to ensure the safety of drugs in Uzbekistan.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing cooperation.
