AKIPRESS.COM - An explosion occurred at the Turkey’s top oil refiner Turpas during the planned drill, Haberturk reports.

Tremors of explosions were felt by residents of 7 districts.

Tahir Buyukakin, mayor of the northwestern Kocaeli province, said it was " unforeseen event during planned drills". No one was injured, he added.

According to him, the fire as a result of explosion is under control.
