AKIPRESS.COM - President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa met with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP29 in Baku on November 11, Montsame reported.

At the meeting, President Khurelsukh congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on successfully holding a major United Nations event in his country and wished him success.

The two heads of state noted that the friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Azerbaijan are actively flourishing in the political sector and emphasized the need to further expand these relations in all sectors. In line with this, the sides agreed to hold high-level visits between the two countries in the near future and strengthen the foundations of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The parties discussed enriching bilateral relations with economic content, increasing investments, and developing tangible and effective cooperation in agriculture, transport and logistics, and education. President Khurelsukh and President Ilham Aliyev discussed jointly contributing to the effort to overcome global challenges including climate change and desertification and exchanged views on some issues on international relations.
