AKIPRESS.COM - The number of dead seals found in Mangistau region has reached 850, vlast.kz reports, citing head of the regional fisheries inspection Andrey Rutskoy.

Another 115 dead seals have been found on the shore from the recreation center in Aktau to the Kuryk port on November 10.

"Our working group is checking the shore. Now there are rocky beaches left. They cannot be reached by car, the inspectors will have to walk," Rutskoy noted.

He added that it is impossible to take samples from the last animals found due to severe decomposition, and the results of samples taken at the end of October are not yet ready.
