Sadyr Japarov meets with President of Airbus Europe in Berlin

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with President of Airbus Europe Johan Pelissier in Berlin on November 27, the President's Administration reported.

The head of state expressed Kyrgyzstan's readiness to develop partnership relations with Airbus, noting the high level of technology and standards that the company sets in the field of global aviation. Japarov emphasized that the development of the aviation industry is one of the key priorities for Kyrgyzstan. He noted the importance of already implemented projects, including the purchase of aircraft.

The President paid special attention to the prospects for supporting the national airline Asman Airlines, emphasizing the renewal of the fleet and the introduction of modern technologies.

He spoke about plans to lease 2 Airbus aircraft (A320 or A321) in the first phase of cooperation, which will be used to fly to Europe, including Bishkek-Paris, Bishkek-Berlin and Bishkek-London.

The President said that Kyrgyz airlines are expected to be excluded from the European Union Air Safety List next year.

Active work has been carried out to improve aviation security, implement international standards and modernize infrastructure, which has significantly increased the chances of lifting restrictions. He noted that exclusion from the list will open up new opportunities for direct flights to Europe.

Further expansion of the fleet is planned in cooperation with Airbus in the second phase. The President expressed confidence that cooperation with Airbus will be an important step in the development of the country's aviation industry, and noted his readiness for substantive negotiations to further expand cooperation.

President Sadyr Japarov invited Johan Pélissier to visit Kyrgyzstan in the near future to continue the dialogue directly with representatives of the country's aviation industry.
