AKIPRESS.COM - A rally of Yandex.Taxi drivers took place in Bishkek on December 2.
The drivers gathered near the company's office and demanded the commission reduction. The commission has already reached 21% today.
Currently, the office of Yandex.Taxi Corp. in Bishkek is sealed.
The MPs earlier said that Yandex entered the Kyrgyz market with a low commission of 7%, then raised it to 10%, 15% and eventually to 21%.
The State National Security Committee conducted searches in the offices of Yandex.Taxi Corp. and its partners on November 29. A criminal case on the evasion of tax payments on an especially large scale was opened.
"In particular, Yandex.Taxi Corp. and its partners, despite repeated measures taken by the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, have unreasonably inflated interest rates for taxi drivers, after which the cost of taxi services has artificially increased," the State National Security Committee reported.
