
AKIPRESS.COM - Omurbek Babanov is investing $18-20 million for expansion of Asia Mall in Bishkek, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said on December 6 at the inauguration ceremony of the bypass road in Uzgen.
The President said that the wealthy citizens of the country have been building factories abroad doing business abroad. Now, according to the head of state, the government gives them guarantees and attracts their investments in the country.
"For example, I received Babanov yesterday. To expand the area of Asia Mall and improve its appearance, he invests $18-20 million. Today, he builds a technology park for $50 million, which is to open in January," Japarov said.
Omurbek Babanov is a Kyrgyz businessman and politician, who served twice as the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan briefly from 2011 to 2012. He is the owner of Mbank and Asia Cement, a company that cooperates with the Russian nuclear industry.
