AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov met with SUEZ Group Interim Co-CEO and Chief Operating Officer Water Pierre Pauliac, UzA reported.

The parties discussed issues of improving water supply and wastewater treatment systems at the meeting. Special attention was paid to the public-private partnership project in Surkhandarya region and plans to modernize Tashkent's water supply system. The sides stressed the importance of introducing innovative technologies and sustainable water resource management solutions.

The prospects for cooperation on the development of educational programs for students of Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers and training of qualified specialists, as well as joint projects aimed at ensuring environmental safety and sustainable development of the region were considered.

Following the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to continue cooperation in drinking water supply, wastewater treatment, and effective water resources management.
