AKIPRESS.COM - The delegation headed by Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Jumamurat Gurbangeldiyev paid a working visit to Ankara on February 24-25.

The Turkish delegation took part in the 4th meeting of the Council for Cooperation in Education between Turkmenistan and Türkiye on February 25.

The delegations were headed by Minister of Education of Turkmenistan J.Gurbangeldiyev and Minister of National Education of Türkiye Y.Tekin.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of partnership in the field of education. The positive experience of interaction between institutions of higher education of two countries was noted.

In order to strengthen ties between secondary and specialized educational institutions, the sides agreed to organize meetings and seminars at relevant levels and promote the exchange of best practices in the development of modern curricula and teaching methods.

During the visit, a meeting with President of the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye Erol Özvar was held at the Council of Higher Education (CoHE).

The parties discussed opportunities for enhancing cooperation in science and education, including issues of reforming the higher education system, organizing short-term courses for Turkmen students and teachers, joint research and publication of scientific articles.

They expressed interest in organizing mutual visits and holding joint conferences, seminars and master classes in higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and Türkiye. In addition, the sides discussed issues related to the education of Turkmen students in the universities of Türkiye.
