AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with Regional Director for Europe of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Birgitte Bischoff Ebbesen on March 12, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.

During the meeting, the sides noted the effectiveness of cooperation of Turkmenistan with the IFRC. Special emphasis was placed on cooperation aimed at improving the legislation of Turkmenistan in accordance with international humanitarian law.

The Turkmen side presented humanitarian projects and initiatives of the country and invited the IFRC representatives to actively participate in the events organized by Turkmenistan within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
