Economy Minister of Bulgaria and Ambassador of Mongolia consider expanding economic cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - Economy and Industry Minister of Bulgaria Petar Dilov and Ambassador of Mongolia Sayanaa Lkhagvasuren discussed opportunities to expand bilateral economic cooperation, BTA reported, citing the Economy Ministry.

The meeting identified key areas for strengthening trade and economic relations between the two countries, including mining, food industry, trade, transport, agriculture, and partnerships between small and medium-sized enterprises, among others.

"We believe that the level of economic cooperation does not match the bilateral potential and the strong political relations we share," said Dilov during the meeting. He added that Bulgaria would continue to support the deepening of relations between the EU and Mongolia.

In turn, Sayanaa Lkhagvasuren emphasized Bulgaria's strategic role in promoting trade between Mongolia and Europe.

During the talks, Dilov also highlighted the role of the joint Mongolian-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation as an essential mechanism for developing bilateral relations and outlining concrete measures to boost economic collaboration. The possibility of holding the next session of the Commission in 2025 was also a topic of discussion.
