AKIPRESS.COM - President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in Samarkand to participate in the inaugural Central Asia-European Union Summit, UzA reported.

Discussions focused on further development and strengthening of friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

The steady growth of trade turnover, which exceeded $1.1 billion by the end of last year, was lauded.

Ongoing cooperation projects successfully implemented across various industries, including energy, transport, agriculture, and water management were reviewed. 

Special attention was paid to the preparation of upcoming bilateral meetings and high-level multilateral events, as well as to advancing joint projects within the framework of a multifaceted partnership.
