
AKIPRESS.COM - A massive power outage occurred in Georgia, the Tbilisi life Telegram channel and Mtavare reported.
Blackout is reported in parts of Tbilisi, Mtskheta, Gori, Batumi, Poti, Borjomi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi and a number of other cities.
The Telmiko power distribution company told RIA Novosit the power outage is due to a major accident. "Gradually, throughout the night, power will be supplied to all subscribers," the company promised.
A rally is being held near the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi in memory of those killed during the dispersal of the rally on the night of April 9, 1989. That night was called the "night of the sapper shovels."
