AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov met with members of the delegation led by Managing Director of Operations of the World Bank Anna Bjerde in Tashkent, UzA reported.

During the dialogue, the parties exchanged views on the latest trends in the global economy, the sustainability of the country's economic growth, including the effective use of artificial intelligence, the creation of new jobs, the attraction of advanced technologies, and the role of the World Trade Organization in international trade.

As noted, creating high-quality jobs in healthcare, tourism, agriculture, and industry is one of the priorities. The discussion also focused on socio-economic reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, ensuring macroeconomic stability, improving the effectiveness of fiscal policy, achieving the inflation target, infrastructure projects implemented on the basis of public-private partnerships, the processes of transformation and privatization of state-owned enterprises, improving energy efficiency, the formation of a green and sustainable heating system, the development of transport and logistics systems.

The World Bank representatives highly appreciated the measures taken in Uzbekistan to ensure macroeconomic stability and economic growth. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to expand the exchange of ideas and experience in the above-mentioned areas and continue systematic and effective cooperation to achieve common goals.
