
AKIPRESS.COM - A new football stadium Dostuk Arena was officially opened in the village of Besh-Kungey in Chui region with the participation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov on April 26.
The ceremony was also attended by Head of the State National Security Committee Kamchybek Tashiyev and President of the Kyrgyz Football Union.
According to the Kyrgyz Football Union, Dostuk Arena is the first football stadium built in independent Kyrgyzstan’s history.
The stadium covers an area of 2.26 hectares. The modern western and eastern stands have a total seating capacity of 2,563 spectators.
The building in front of the eastern stands includes a dormitory and cafeteria for professional players, as well as commercial facilities.
Behind the western stands are six locker rooms, administrative and functional areas for competitions, a fitness center, VIP rooms, media rooms, broadcasting spaces and a VAR system control room.
The stadium and adjacent areas are equipped with LED lighting. Dostuk Arena is designed to host international-level football tournaments.
