
AKIPRESS.COM - The second consultative meeting between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran took place in Tehran on May 5, Montsame reported.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Munkhtushig Lkhanaajav emphasized the traditionally friendly relations between Mongolia and Iran, which have been steadily developing. The officials exchanged views and information on expanding bilateral relations and cooperation. The sides noted the increase in bilateral trade in recent years and expressed mutual interest in further increasing the volume of halal-prepared meat and meat product exports from Mongolia to Iran.
Furthermore, they highlighted the successful implementation of joint research on the history and culture of the Ilkhanate since 2014. The parties underscored the importance of further strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of the two countries, and of continuing efforts to safeguard historical and cultural heritage, including both tangible and intangible assets.
