AKIPRESS.COM - Starting from June 1, 2025, citizens of Uzbekistan and China will be able to travel to each other's countries without a visa for up to 30 days, under the intergovernmental visa waiver agreement.
The visa-free regime won't apply to employment, study, media-related activities, or any other undertakings that require prior approval from the relevant authorities of the respective countries.
The intergovernmental agreement on mutual visa exemption between Uzbekistan and China, signed in Chengdu on December 1, 2024, has now completed all required internal procedures in both countries, according to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The agreement will officially enter into force on June 1, 2025.
The agreement does not extend to visits to China’s Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau.
