AKIPRESS.COM - As part of the Uzbek-Italian high-level talks, a solemn ceremony of naming one of the city streets in honor of the capital of Italy was held at the International Congress Center of Samarkand.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that this decision reflects the deep historical and cultural ties between the two countries, the high level of strategic partnership, and also serves as a symbol of friendship and mutual respect between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Italy.

Uzbekistan and Italy adopted a Joint Declaration on Strengthening the Strategic Partnership between the Two Countries during visit of Italian Prime Minister Giorgi Meloni to Samarkand.
