
AKIPRESS.COM - A police officer rescued three girls from drowning at a beach in Cholpon-Ata on July 1, the Issyk-Kul region police department reported.
Police Sergeant Syimyk Toktogul uulu, a patrol and guard service officer, was patrolling the shore when the wind intensified and large waves rose on the lake. He heard cries for help, looked towards the water, and saw three girls drowning. Toktogul uulu immediately rushed into the water.
The officer pulled the girls out of the water one by one and, with the help of a paddleboard, brought them to shore. Fortunately, the rescued girls sustained no injuries.
During the preliminary check, it was determined that the rescued girls, all born in 2007, are residents of Bishkek.
Police officers briefed the girls on water safety rules and emphasized the importance of adhering to security measures.
