AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved a new structure for his Administration, cutting 284 staff positions and optimizing redundant duties. These changes are reflected in the decree "On measures to increase efficiency, proactivity, and effectiveness in the public administration system", President's press secretary Sherzod Asadov said.
The Administration's work will now focus on five priority areas: education, business environment, judicial and legal system, healthcare, and water resources. To effectively implement reforms in these sectors, five Deputy Heads of Administration positions have been introduced within the new structure.
Additionally, new positions for presidential advisors on strategic development and foreign policy have been established.
Several new departments have also been created to reflect modern priorities, including financial technologies, digitalization, and artificial intelligence, creative economy and tourism, public safety and the rule of law, event organization, preparation of analysis for meetings and regional visits, and communications.
Furthermore, the Agency for Information and Mass Communications has been abolished. A new National Content Production Center will be formed on its basis.
