AKIPRESS.COM - The 10th session of the Intergovernmental Uzbekistan - Hungary Commission on Economic Cooperation took place in Budapest, UzA reported.

The delegation from Uzbekistan was led by Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov, while the Hungarian side was led by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó.

The parties discussed current issues related to strengthening trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint projects in industry, transport, agriculture, science, and education, and the further enhancement of business ties between enterprises of both countries.

Following the meeting, the sides signed a Protocol of the Intergovernmental Uzbekistan - Hungary Commission, formalizing the agreements reached and outlining priority areas for future cooperation.

Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary on cooperation under the Stipendium Hungaricum program for 2024-2026, and a Memorandum of Understanding between Uzbekistan's Basalt Group and Hungary's energy company MOL, aimed at developing industrial cooperation and applying innovative solutions in production, were signed.

The event concluded with an Uzbekistan - Hungary Business Forum, attended by representatives of leading companies from both countries, during which prospects for expanding business partnerships and implementing joint projects were discussed.
