AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov met with Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry of Italy Francesco Lollobrigida as part of the 2nd UN Food Systems Summit Stocktake (UNFSS+4), held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, UzA reported.

The parties discussed issues of further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.

The Italian side invited the delegation of Uzbekistan to attend the World Food Forum, to be held in Rome under the auspices of FAO on October 14-18, 2025.

The sides also exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in such areas as improving the agricultural insurance system, exchanging advanced technologies, and implementing joint projects.

During the summit, Abdurakhmonov met with the First Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations. During the dialogue, the Uzbek side emphasized the high level of organization of the current summit.
