Mongolia, Oman to enhance investment cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - President of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA) Abdulsalam Almurshidi led the delegation that arrived in Ulaanbaatar to hold high-level meeting with Mongolian Prime Minister Gombojav Zandanshatar.

Prime Minister Zandanshatar noted the active development of bilateral relations between Mongolia and Oman in recent years and expressed Mongolia's intention to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation in the sectors of trade, economy, investment, mining, and agriculture.

Abdulsalam Almurshidi underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation in investment and other areas of mutual interest.

The Omani delegation also held a series of official meetings with senior Mongolian government officials, including Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Damdinyam Gongor, Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Development Batkhuu Edish, Adviser and Head of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister Janbold Bata, Director General of the Investment and Trade Agency V. Enkhbatar, and Advisor to the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry T. Munkhtur.

The meetings focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation in the sectors of mining, energy, agriculture and food industries. Discussions also addressed ways to develop joint projects, boost trade and create an attractive environment for long-term investments.
