AKIPRESS.COM - Ashraf Khojaev has been appointed as Uzbekistan’s first ambassador to the Republic of South Africa (RSA). He will also continue to serve as the country’s ambassador to Qatar, Kun.uz reported.
In Pretoria, at the Sefako Makgatho Presidential Guesthouse, Ashraf Khojaev presented his credentials to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the RSA.
It should be noted that Khojaev was appointed Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Qatar last year. Prior to that, he headed one of the departments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
