AKIPRESS.COM - Advisor to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Alisher Shaykhov met with Ambassador of Bangladesh to Uzbekistan Mohammad Monirul Islam, UzA reported.

The meeting was aimed at strengthening trade and economic ties, expanding the scale of mutually beneficial cooperation, and establishig new joint projects.

The parties discussed issues of developing cooperation in the textile industry, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and fish farming.

The opportunities for bilateral cooperation between business communities were also considered, in particular, the implementation of joint investment projects, the strengthening of tourism and cultural ties, and the attraction of qualified specialists from Bangladesh to Uzbekistan.

The sides expressed readiness to support new initiatives and implement mutually beneficial projects.
