AKIPRESS.COM - A delegation led by head of Turkestan region of Kazakhstan Nurlakhan Kusherov visited Samarkand, UzA reported.

At the meeting between acting head of Samarkand region Adiz Boboyev and head of Turkestan region Nurlakhan Kusherov, it was noted that the strengthening trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian ties between the two neighboring countries are giving new momentum to interregional cooperation.

It was noted that Samarkand and Turkestan are interested in developing cooperation in tourism.

Boboyev and Kusherov supported the proposals and initiatives presented and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The guests from Turkestan region also visited cultural landmarks of Samarkand, the International Tourism Academy, the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and  the International Tourist Center.
