AKIPRESS.COM - President of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy Lorenzo Fontana paid a courtesy call on President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa during the state visit of President of Mongolia to Italy, Montsame reported.

The parties agreed that inter-parliamentary cooperation plays an important role in advancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. They also exchanged views on further expanding cooperation in agriculture, light industry, road and transport, culture, and education within the framework of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Members of the Parliament accompanying the President of Mongolia on the visit met with members of the Italian Chamber of Deputies and toured the Parliament building.

The Mongolia–Italy Parliamentary Group in the Mongolian Parliament is chaired by MP Undraa Agvaanluvsan, while the Italy–Mongolia Parliamentary Group is headed by Chamber of Deputies member Nicola Carè. The Italy–Mongolia Parliamentary Group consists of 20 members representing the political parties.
