Mongolia and Austria to deepen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs Battsetseg Batmunkh paid an official visit to Austria and held official talks with Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria Beate Meinl-Reisinger on December 5, Montsame reported.

During the official talks, the sides emphasized that the visit of President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen to Mongolia in May 2025 played an important role in intensifying bilateral relations and deepening cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.

Agreeing to continue bilateral economic and investment cooperation, the two sides discussed opportunities to expand partnership in renewable energy, forestry, green technology, education, culture, and tourism, and expressed their commitment to working steadfastly to achieve these shared objectives.

Minister Battsetseg extended an invitation to Minister for European and International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger to visit Mongolia at her convenience.

The parties also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation within the United Nations and other international organizations, and exchanged views on several regional and international issues.
