UNICEF welcomes President Japarov's decree introducing new monthly child benefit "Bala Yrysy"

AKIPRESS.COM - UNICEF has welcomed the introduction of a monthly state child benefit "Bala Yrysy" for all children under the age of three.

As UNICEF representative Samman Tapa reported, this decision reflects the country's commitment to protecting children’s rights and supporting families during the most critical period of a child’s development.

The organization emphasized that expanding social protection for young children is one of the most effective ways to reduce child poverty and provide children with optimal conditions for growth and development.

The introduction of the new child benefit also aligns with the National Development Program until 2030, which aims to reduce child poverty and expand social support for children.

UNICEF confirmed its readiness to continue cooperating with the Government of Kyrgyzstan to implement the "Bala Yrysy" program and strengthen the country’s child social protection system.
