Iran demands compensation from 5 Arab nations

AKIPRESS.COM - Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, has officially demanded full compensation from Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia for what he described as their complicity in military actions led by the United States and Israel, the Tasnim news agency reported.

The diplomat said that these nations must provide restitution for both physical and moral damages resulting from their "illegal actions." Iravani argued that these regional neighbors violated their obligations toward Tehran by aligning with Washington and Tel Aviv during the ongoing conflict.

The demand follows a letter sent by the Iranian envoy to UN Secretary-General António Guterres in March, in which he accused several Middle Eastern countries of allowing their territories to be used as launchpads for American strikes against Iran. Additionally, Iravani reiterated Tehran's claim that Ukraine is also a participant in the hostilities, citing the alleged deployment of Ukrainian drone specialists to the Middle East. This escalation in diplomatic rhetoric highlights growing tensions between Iran and various regional and international actors over the shifting dynamics of the conflict.
