Mumbai man walks into hospital with machete stuck in head, doctors save him

AKIPRESS.COM - A man walked into a hospital in Mumbai with a machete lodged in his head, but survived after the doctors rushed to save him, India Today reports.

Social media users expressed their shock over the disturbing visuals.

A shocking video from Mumbai showing a man standing inside a hospital with a large machete lodged in his head while talking on the phone has gone viral on social media, triggering outrage and allegations of medical negligence online.

However, according to the Mumbai Police, the viral clip was linked to a brutal assault case that took place in the PMGP Colony area of Mankhurd following an alleged personal rivalry.

The injured man has been identified as Rohit Nagnath Pawar, who was attacked late at night on May 1 at around 11:45 pm.

According to police officials, Rohit allegedly had an ongoing dispute with the attackers. During the confrontation, he was surrounded and assaulted with sharp weapons in what authorities described as an extremely violent attack.

The assault was allegedly so severe that one of the sharp weapons ended up deeply lodged in Rohit’s skull.

The now-viral video, filmed after the attack, showed Rohit standing inside a hospital with the weapon visibly protruding from his head while holding a phone to his ear. The shocking visuals quickly spread across social media platforms, with several users questioning why immediate medical assistance did not appear visible in the clip and accusing the hospital staff of negligence.
