US firm to recruit Uzbek workers for ten-month agricultural programs

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan nationals may soon find expanded opportunities to work in the United States agricultural sector for up to ten months under the H-2A visa program, Kun.uz reported.

Manuel Fick, the founder and CEO of the American company USA Farm Labor, shared these developments during the first Tashkent International Migration Forum. He noted that his organization is actively collaborating with the Uzbek government to streamline the recruitment process for seasonal agricultural roles.

Addressing concerns regarding worker welfare, Fick emphasized that the United States maintains a robust framework for protecting labor rights. Federal laws are strictly enforced to ensure worker safety and to prevent exploitation or human trafficking. Uzbek workers entering the US for seasonal tasks are guaranteed decent working conditions and comprehensive legal safeguards.

American farmers have expressed a particular interest in candidates who are young, industrious, and possess functional English language skills. Beyond the immediate economic advantages, this collaboration is expected to facilitate a valuable exchange of professional skills and modern farming techniques between the two countries.
