Kirovskoye Water Reservoir in Talas today
The total capacity of the Kirovskoye Water Reservoir is 550 million cubic meters. Due to the changes in weather, the rising water flow in stood at 545 million cubic meters as of June 15, 2016.
Commissioned in 1975, the Reservoir covers the border of Manas and Kara-Buura districts. Its main function is irrigation of dry lands of Talas region and Kazakhstan, using water of The Talas River.
