The son-in-law of ex-President of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayev, Adil Toigonbayev, who was detained on February 15 in Moscow, was released from custody, his attorney Nikolay Polozov told Russian media.

“My client Adil Toigonbayev has been released from custody. The Russian authorities have no any claims to him,” he said.

Toigonbayev was detained twice for the last several days in Moscow. On February 9 he was detained in Sheremetyevo Airport, but was released then 48 hours later. On February 15, Toigonbayev's car was stopped by road police. After running a check on the driver, police found out that he had been wanted by Interpol since 2005 on charges of fraud, embezzlement and tax evasion brought against him in Kyrgyzstan.
