Bishkek CHPP chemical division
Breakdown started in the chemical division, said Head of the Bishkek CHPP Nurlan Omurkul uulu on January during the raid.
He said 6 boilers are working now, 2 more will soon be commissioned.
"Breakdown started in the chemical division. A pump in the chemical division could not give required amount of water. Those pumps were not reconstructed, but are included in the modernization program," he said.
On January 26, the old boilers of the Bishkek CHPP broke due to extreme colds and temperature inside buildings connected to central heating system drastically dropped to +10+15°C amid -20°C weather conditions.
Chairman of the National Energy Holding Company Aibek Kaliyev said that the new Chinese equipment allowed to save CHPP from a full shutdown and helped prevent a major accident.
