Third fire in Osh bazaar
Fire engulfed the mini-market on the territory of the Osh bazaar in Bishkek's center.
No injuries were reported, the sellers said all of their goods burned down.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the firefighter service was called in at 3:52 am April 13.
Deputy Emergency Minister Kalys Akhmatov said 20 firefighter brigades and 86 soldiers are working on the scene. The blaze covered 1,500-2,000 m2 of the market area.
According to Akhmatov, the authorities and the sellers suspect arson. "Fire broke out in 2-3 places at the same time," one of the sellers said.
This is the third fire in the bazaar since the year start.
The first huge fire occurred in Seitek and Bereket plus mini-markets on January 30. 2 people were hurt and 3,500 m2 of area were covered in ablaze.
The second fire occurred on March 5 in the Seitek mini-market, 700 m2 of area burned.
